About me

About me

My name is Greg Nelson, and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I graduated top of my class at Inland Massage Institute in 2017 in Spokane, Washington. I moved here to Whidbey Island with my family in 2019 and have been been practicing as an independent Massage Therapist.

I specialize in deep tissue therapy, which constitutes a far deeper pressure of massaging resulting in improved blood circulation, improved functioning of the muscles, and even pain relief. I also implement many other different massage techniques such as Myofascial release, Pressure point, and Swedish massage therapy. These techniques aid in opening and lengthening fascial (or connective tissue) pathways, releasing shortened muscles, and warming the tissue and flushing out toxins.

In addition to my massage practices, I sometimes, if necessary, apply the use of a percussion instrument, which creates tone in the muscle and helps break up adhesions, creating better bloodflow. I also employ the use of an FDA approved, class-2 medical device called BEMER (Bio-electric magnetic energy regulation). I believe that this device coupled with deep tissue therapy creates the ultimate potential of proper blood flow through micro circulation, therefore, true healing. Please ask me about the BEMER if you need more information, or check out the link on my page.

DEEP TISSUE

Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscle. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.

Myofascial massage

Fascia is a connective tissue that runs in different directions in, on, and throughout the body creating torque and holding patterns. Slow firm pressure that grips the fascial layers of the tissue creates space along the anatomy train, relieving tension where it is connected to.

BEMER

( BIO-ELECTRIC MAGNETIC-ENERGY-REGULATION ) An energetic magnetic wave that drastically improves micro-circulation for up to 12 hours.

BEMER

Healthy circulation is vital to optimal health. Stimulating healthy muscles and temporarily increasing blood circulation in healthy leg muscles is the primary goal of BEMER, to support muscular health and optimize performance.*

BEMER devices use a pulsed electromagnetic field – abbreviated as PEMF – to deliver a patented therapeutic signal.
